Swedish Work Permit Stamped In Passport

And all it took was Shannie and I standing in line at the Swedish Embassy in Den Haag today. Well, that and sending a bunch of paperwork in 6 weeks ago.

If it hadn’t been for our train getting delayed on the way back to Amsterdam, I still could have made it into the office this afternoon.

Next step: figure out how to move our junk from Point A to Point B. Details forthcoming on that front.

Dude, you’re moving to the home of frakkin’ IKEA.

BURN WHAT YOU HAVE AND MOVE ON.

Congratulations on your continued European odyssey! I shall hold off mailing things to you and yours until you have unlocked the fixed abode achievement in the address level. Are you currently still a web mage or has that too been upgraded?

Also, I will visit this year. No! It has been spoken. Let the gods note this day for it shall become as reality before 2011 is upon us. Mark it, mark it well.

@Geoff: it’s less about moving furniture (we’ve been living in a furnished apartment for the last year) and more about moving things like clothes, bicycles, cats, books, etc. I don’t have a valid drivers license so I can’t just rent a van or something. We’ve got a couple of plans that should be finalized today, though.

@Beeny: One way or the other, we need to see you soon. Either you come this way or we go that way, but we’ve gotta make that a reality!

It will be a reality. How does December work for you? Because it will take me that long to save. But my god, I will do it. And I’ll drag Balthazar with me. :)

Insofar as I understand that December does, technically, exist it should be fine.

Though, to be fair, if you asked me last January what I’d be doing in a year I wouldn’t have expected to be preparing to move to Sweden, so I can’t say for sure.
